Seniors (65 & over) - $7 (Asheville City Residents - $5)

2 and younger free
(No individual under 16 years of age is allowed on the grounds without an accompanying adult) 

Join the Friends of the Nature Center and receive unlimited Free admission to the Center for one year!

GIFT SHOP
The Nature Center gift shop features hundreds of items for all ages including clothing, books, games and toys. 

SNACKS AND BEVERAGES
Soft drinks and snacks may be purchased in our gift shop or at on-site vending machines.  Picnic tables are available throughout the Nature Center and guests are welcome to bring their own lunches.


 

 


DON'T MISS...

The Nature Center's 42 acres of award-winning exhibits get you closer than you ever thought possible to the incredible wildlife of the Southern Appalachians.

Appalachian Station is an indoor exhibit that features a variety of reptiles (including rattlesnakes and copperheads), amphibians and small mammals.

Otter Falls features our North American river otters and several species of aquatic turtles.

World Underground is an indoor experience that takes visitors on an education tour of life under the soil.

Small Mammals includes raccoons and red and gray foxes.

Appalachian Predators is the largest area of the park, devoted to our coyotes, red and gray wolves, and bobcat.

Red Wolf Run is our exhibit on the endangered red wolves, one of our top conservation initiatives.

Black Bear Ridge features American black bears, hawks, owls and white-tailed deer.

Western North Carolina Farm features endangered farm animals, such as the Cotswold sheep, as well as chickens, rabbits, donkeys, and goats.

Trillium Nature Trail is a .6 mile nature trail winding through forested areas along the Swannanoa River.
